This is the only reason why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Every weekend we make international calls talking to friends and family and we use the Speaker phone feature quite a bit. I have not done that yet but I am sure that would be easy too. There is also a Ringer off feature on the phone which is great since we have turned the ringer off on the second handset that came with it which we keep in our bedroom.
Amazingly the charge on it lasts for much longer than most of the cordless phones that I have used. I need to refer to the manual one more time for remote operation of the answering machine. This Phone has all the features that I was looking for. Its small and Lightweight. Excellent voice quality and clarity on the speaker phone. You can listen to your voice messages either on the speaker of the handset or the standard way which is to put the handset against your ear.
Infact I am also going to buy another one of these for my Dad. There have been two instances when upon answering the phone we could not hear anything the other person said nor were they able to hear anything that I said. I am not sure if that could be interfering with this handset or not. This was the only time I had to refer to the Manual so far to figure out how to De-register the handset with the base and then re-register it. Mute button on the phone works great too. I still need to figure it out. It uses a pair of Rechargeable AAA battries which is excellent.
I have another Amplifier with Headset that I use in the house (same phone line) in my office. Answering machine can be operated directly from the Handset - Simply follow the menu options. Usage of Cordless phones in our house is quite a bit. The Graphical display has options that are very easy to understand.
The only grouse I have is, the recent calls list is not easily accessible, need to go through a loop, when we are in a hurry, it is hard sometimes. We really like the Panasonic Expandable Digital Cordless Dect 6.0 Phone System (KXTG8232B. The color screen is definitely a welcome change. We use this phone for more than 5-6 hours a day at a stretch for office calls and the battery life is excellent. It has great voice clarity, easy joystick to navigate. It is not rocket science to use all the features on this phone.
I love that they are light and have great sound quality. These are great phones. I like the graphics.
This fixed it. I replaced phones that were getting noise from my wi-fi. easy to set up and use. Good tone.
I truly love this phone. I like the keypad too because it's easy to use and well made. This is my first Panasonic, but will not be my last one if they work this good. This phone is really awesome for anyone with hearing impairments as the volume is higher than any other cordless I've had (and I've had about 10 of them over the past 2 yrs).
It has everything I have been looking for in a cordless phone. The speakerphone works better than I ever thought a cordless could; we use that all the time and haven't had one person complain about us sounding like we're in a tin can. I truly have no "cons" about this phone at all. I love this phone. The answering machine works great and the battery lasts for days. From the color to the volume (loud)to all the other features (which work great) it is truly a great phone.
The clip is very sturdy and I use that a great deal while walking around with my headset (which also now has great volume). (I have owned this phone now for a little over a year with no problems). I have some hearing loss and phones have become a nightmare for me (trying to find the right one with good volume control and clear speech). I love the small size too which is light weight for all those long distance calls that go on for hours.
